During the Kosovo crisis of 1999 developed a draft of the Work of Divine Providence of the Madonna del Grappa, the Meyer Hospital and the Region of Tuscany, within the Rainbow Mission, to bring help and support to health facilities in Scutari to deal with health emergencies determined by massive waves of refugees from Kosovo. now all the spirit which pervaded the Director of the hospitals of Scutari thought to ask the Head of Mission of the Region of Tuscany and Don Carlo Zaccaro to organize a refresher course and training at Children's Hospital "A. Meyer", Florence, for all physicians and other health professionals of the Pediatric Hospital of Shkodra. It was not an easy task, but through the efforts of all (Tuscany, Meyer Hospital, the Italian Consulate in Shkodra, Directorate of Hospitals and the Prefecture of Shkodra and the usual unparalleled support of Don Carlo Zaccaro), we managed to overcome all the difficulties bureaucracy and to offer to all our colleagues of the Pediatric Hospital Scutari an internship and professional development in early next year.

In spring of 2000 were hosted in the premises of the Madonna del Grappa, a total of 21 doctors and inferrmieri of Shkodra, in groups of 4-5 people, who participated in each two weeks to update the various departments of the Hospital Meyer: Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Neonatal Intensive Care, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology and Nutrition Therapy, Intensive Care, Radiology and Ultrasound. It was an intense time, conducted with great availability and transportation by all, and mutually beneficial for the acquisition of scientific data and clinical experience is not easily repeatable.

fruitful contacts were maintained after the two children's hospitals, always with the collaboration and the kind suggestions of Don Carlo, who continued to work to help children and adults who are severely ill Scutari that were to be used only in highly specialized clinics. In the next 5-6 years, were admitted in hospitals in Tuscany about 400 seriously ill people, mostly children, with great commitment of human and financial resources from the Region of Tuscany and just as great, enthusiastic, tireless participation and collaboration by all those who adopravano together around Don Carlo, one for all, the unforgettable, splendid figure of Annalena Dr. Annalena Zoli.
